Designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates and originally built in 2002, 58 Fenchurch Street is the UK head office building for AIG Europe, the leading global insurance organisation.

Providing 16,800 m² of office space over 15 storeys, the building won a New City Architecture Award in 2003. Featuring glazed terracotta panels that can be re-glazed from the inside, the design utilises aluminium extrusions to house external details including aluminium fins, laminated glass fins and terracotta fins.

When AIG decided to update parts of the internal make up of the building, it was important to choose the right manufacturer to supply the doors to the correct specification.

Shadbolt were duly selected, manufacturing and supplying bespoke FSC® certified crown cut plain Canadian maple veneered FD30 and FD60 glazed doors and doorsets.
